About the Club

Built Around
the Water

Pool Club began with a simple conviction: a swim can be a ritual, and a pool can be a place you belong.

Our Story
Our Story

From one pool
to a way of living

In 2019, founders Mara and Dev Okafor took over a faded 1970s lido on the marina — cracked tiles, a leaking roof, and the best light they had ever seen on water. They spent two years rebuilding it slowly: five pools instead of one, shade where the afternoon sun lands, and a rule that nothing inside the gates should ever feel rushed.

Today Pool Club is home to 1,200 members — dawn lap swimmers, weekend families, remote workers who take calls from cabanas. Different rhythms, one water.

What We Believe

Three quiet principles

Water first

Every design decision starts at the waterline — clarity, temperature, and the sound it makes when you slip in.

Slowness is a feature

No timers on loungers, no rush between courses, no music before ten. The club runs on unhurried time.

Members make the place

Programming, playlists, even the herb garden by the lap pool — the best ideas here arrive with our members.

Stewardship

Kind to the water
we swim in

Salt-based filtration, solar heating, rainwater-fed gardens, and refill stations at every pool edge. Luxury that doesn't cost the coastline it borrows its view from.
